Calder Dairy and Farms

Calder Dairy and Farms was founded in 1946. We are family owned and operated. Our farm in Carleton is home to our small herd of dairy cows, we do not and never did use rBST (a growth hormone). Our milk is taken to our own dairy plant in Lincoln Park where it is pasteurized the old fashoined way to give the mik a better taste. The milk is then packaged in the perfect container, a recyclable glass botle. We make 34 flavors of farm made ice cream. We offer home delivery of our products in areas of Monroe, Wayne, Washtenaw and Oakland counties. Our products can also be found in Whole Foods, Plum Market, and many other fine purveyors of food. Our farm is open to the public 7 days a week, you can watch milking at 4:00 pm. Our farm store offers ice cream cones, milk products aswell as jellies, pickles and candies. Visit the menagerie of farm animals and then sit next to the pond and enjoy a peaceful day in the country. We offer organized tours of the farm by appointment for groups of 15 or more.
