We are a small family operated grist mill in rural Arkansas. We use a stone burr mill with natural pink granite stones to grind the whole kernel of he corn. Stone ground corn is nothing more or less than dried corn, slowly ground to preserve the essential oils of the corn. Because the corn is not processed in any way before grinding, except simply dried the bran and germ remain intact. It is the kind of cornmeal that your grandparents used.
