Root Brothers Farms began in 1852 when Orpheus Root purchased the original 129 acre farmstead. A working farm for over 150 years, Root Farms holds the prestigious recognition of being a New York State "Century Farm." Today the farm is operated by Robin and Scott Root, who have diversified the business. Crops now vary from wheat, field corn, sweet corn, tomatoes, cabbage, soy beans, peppers, pumpkins, melons, and others. With good management principles and six generations of proud farmers, Root Brothers Farm is honored to be a Century Farm and to serve you in future.
